Where do research and medicine stand on the topic of Long COVID? And what is the impact of the pandemic on people, society, and democracy? These questions will be the focus of two half-day symposia to be held on June 30, 2022, at the Grisons Cantonal Hospital (KSGR) and on July 7, 2022, at Inselspital Bern.
People affected at all levels
At KSGR, the overall situation of the pandemic, including Long COVID, will be discussed. This is because the pandemic has left its mark on many levels: for healthcare professionals, for those affected by Long COVID, in politics and, last but not least, in society. Various aspects and questions will be highlighted, such as: "Did non-COVID patients get a raw deal?", "How did our national task force arrive at its proposals?", and "What did this period do to society and democracy?".
The pandemic has left its mark on many levels.
The conference at Inselspital Bern is entirely dedicated to the long-term consequences following a COVID-19 infection. Topics such as knowledge growth and knowledge gaps, diagnosis and rehabilitation, or clinical research and the issue of a registry will be highlighted. In addition, the experiences from all over Switzerland are presented.
Live stream broadcast
The two events are open to the public and are aimed at healthcare professionals. They can be seen on site or via the live stream. The events are held in German. The links will be posted on the organizers' websites. Registration is mandatory.
The detailed program as well as registration information of both conferences can be found in the infoboxes below (subject to change).
