Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic several efforts were taken to create contact points for people suffering from long term symptoms after an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including Long COVID consultations, online platforms such as Altea and Rafael, patient associations, such as Long COVID Switzerland and research cohorts. However, official recommendations for the treatment of Long COVID patients were still lacking. Therefore, the division of primary care medicine at the Geneva University Hospital and the division of neurology at the Inselspital with help of experts and patients nationwide, have worked out recommendations for diagnostic and therapy of Post-Covid addressing primary care physicians. The project was mandated by the FOPH, supported by the Federation of Swiss Doctors (FMH), and validated by the national Swiss scientific and medical societies.

We are proud to announce a new section on the Altea platform that is directed to health care professionals (HCPs). The French version of the recommendations is available on the RAFAEL platform.
