Save the date: Long COVID Physio International Forum – September 9th-10th, 2022

The two-day online forum is addressed to anyone who wants to learn more: from health professionals, to people with Long COVID, to academics and policy makers.

On September 9th – 10th, 2022 a virtual conference titled "Long COVID Physio International Forum'' will be hosted by Long COVID Physio in partnership with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and FisioCamera. 

The conference planning committee, which includes Darren Brown, Member of the Expert Board of Altea, is arranging the conference to bring the lived experience to Long COVID, disability and rehabilitation, to address key and emergent themes affecting people living with Long COVID and rehabilitation professionals.  

The final program will be released soon. It will cover three different streams:  

  • Science - learn the most up to date research from leaders in the field
  • Discussion - the hot discussions and debates on the topics we all want 
  • Workshop - share knowledge and skills that make a difference 

The conference will be live streamed and recorded for on-demand access. The language of this forum will be English. Registration will open June 15th, 2022. To register, click here.

The Long COVID Physio International Forum is suitable for any audience, including health and social care professionals, people living with or affected by Long COVID or other conditions, academics, service providers, policymakers, students of allied health and rehabilitation professions, and people wanting to learn more. 

Keynote speakers include:  

  • Dr. Emma Stokes, Associate Professor of Physiotherapy, President World Physiotherapy, and Vice President for Global Engagement Trinity College Dublin 
  • Dr. David Putrino, Director of Rehabilitation Innovation for the Mount Sinai Health System, and Associate Professor of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai 

The aim is to address key and emergent themes affecting people with Long COVID and rehabilitation professionals.
