In a previous blog, we drew attention to the youtube channel of the "Physio for Physio" network. The independent network emerged from a Long COVID quality circle of interested physiotherapists from different hospitals in the canton of Zurich and pulmonary physiotherapists (IGPTR-P), who are working on the topic in a FOPH working group. The aim of the short videos is to share scientific findings as well as practical experiences on the management of Long COVID patients with colleagues.
The first videos, released in the fall of 2022, provided insights on topics such as terminology, common symptoms, and safe rehabilitation and pacing. The content was developed in collaboration with Altea, pulmonary physio IGPTR-P, and with support from the FOPH, Physioswiss, University Hospital Zurich, Zurich City Hospital, and the Inselspital Bern.

Additional content on circadian rhythms was added in March 2023. A circadian rhythm is a periodic sequence that takes place over the duration of approximately one day (24 h). The most obvious example of this is our sleep-wake rhythm, which is influenced by daylight. The two videos on physio4physio explain which processes in our body follow a 24-hour rhythm, what influences this and how to use this knowledge to treat Long COVID. The information on circadian rhythms has been split into two videos:
All videos are subtitled in German, for some videos English and/or Italian subtitles are also available. With the possibility to translate existing subtitles automatically and display them in the video, you can easily translate the subtitles into your preferred language. To do this, first activate the German subtitles via the settings (gear icon at the bottom right of the video) and then select the desired language via the "Translate automatically" function.
To make sure you don't miss any new content, it's worth checking out the physio4physio channel from time to time or subscribing directly to the channel.
